A Staffordshire transfer-printed plate centered by an N. Currier print entitled’ Ice-Boat Race on the Hudson’, colored in black and white with green, yellow, tan, blue and brown, from the ‘Winter Scenes’ series, depicting a procession of manned ice boats sailing on the frozen Hudson River, flanked by evergreens, a rocky shore and a train, all within a festive holiday border consisting of berried holly leaves and misteltoe. The reverse is elaborately signed with printed marks advertising the engravings of N. Currier. Made by Adams, England, circa 1914-1940.
